About Our CEO
Jonathon McGovern is the CEO of The Duralock Group, the world’s leading innovator in performance fencing for sport, equestrian and racing. Under his leadership, Duralock has grown from a respected British manufacturer into a global prestige brand, with projects delivered in more than 50+ countries across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia and Australia.
Jonathon’s career began outside of the family business. He started in the corporate law world at Pinsent Masons, one of the UK’s top international firms, before moving into fintech with a role at GoCardless, the high-growth payments company. These experiences gave him both a strong legal-commercial grounding and a deep appreciation for agility, innovation, and scale - lessons he later brought to Duralock.
Since taking the helm, Jonathon has overseen a bold transformation of the Group. He has:
- Expanded internationally, delivering flagship racecourse and sports projects from Dubai to Saudi Arabia, New Zealand to the United States.
- Diversified the business, launching new specialist divisions such as Duralock Studio to support clients from concept to completion.
- Reinforced Duralock’s values, embedding a relentless focus on quality, safety and sustainability at every stage of design, manufacture and installation.
Jonathon is recognised as one of the most dynamic leaders in the global sports and equestrian infrastructure sector. He is passionate about thinking big, raising standards, and shaping the future of safer, more sustainable sporting facilities worldwide.
