The project forms part of a wider programme of investment and redevelopment at the stadium, helping to enhance operational flexibility, improve spectator management and support the venue's ongoing commitment to delivering a first-class experience for players, officials and visitors alike. As one of the selected host venues for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup, the Seat Unique Stadium is set to welcome some of the world's leading players and international teams to Bristol, further reinforcing its reputation as one of the UK's premier cricket venues. The newly installed Duralock pedestrian barrier system replaces an ageing freestanding arrangement with a modern, versatile solution designed specifically for busy sporting environments. Installed into discreet sunken sockets, the system allows stadium operators to quickly adapt layouts to suit a variety of matchday, event and operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and presentation. Manufactured in the UK from high-quality PVCu, the barriers offer a durable, low-maintenance solution capable of withstanding the demands of a multi-use venue while complementing the extensive redevelopment work recently undertaken across the ground. Joe Kaniecki, Head of Venue Operations and Partnerships at Gloucestershire Cricket, commented: *"We're absolutely delighted with the new pedestrian picket barriers from Duralock. Replacing our ageing freestanding system, the new barriers are installed into sunken sockets, giving us the flexibility to quickly adapt layouts to suit the stadium's varied uses. The system is robust, practical, and provides an excellent level of safety for both players and spectators. The quality and appearance of the fencing is outstanding and has provided the perfect finishing touch to the extensive redevelopment work undertaken at the ground over the summer."* Oliver Boys, Managing Director of Duralock Sport, added: *"We are delighted to have supported the team at Gloucestershire Cricket with this important investment in the Seat Unique Stadium. Modern sporting venues require infrastructure that is not only safe and durable, but also flexible enough to adapt to the demands of different events and audiences. It is fantastic to see the system already delivering those benefits, and we are proud to have played a part in the stadium's continued development as it prepares to welcome cricket fans from around the world."* The installation further strengthens Duralock Sport's growing portfolio across cricket, football, rugby and equestrian venues throughout the UK and internationally, where venue operators continue to seek infrastructure solutions that combine performance, longevity and aesthetic appeal. As anticipation builds ahead of a landmark summer for the sport, the Seat Unique Stadium stands ready to welcome players and supporters from across the globe, showcasing both the growth of cricket and Gloucestershire Cricket's ongoing commitment to investing in world-class facilities. The Duralock Group would like to thank Joe and the wider Gloucestershire Cricket team for their support throughout the project and wishes them every success for the season ahead. ## Share: - [Share on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=https://www.duralock.com/blog/duralock-gloucestershire-cricket) - [Share on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://www.duralock.com/blog/duralock-gloucestershire-cricket) - [Share on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=https://www.duralock.com/blog/duralock-gloucestershire-cricket) ## Look at our Cricket Fencing For over 25 years, Duralock has been supplying safe and robust PVCu fencing to the worlds leading cricket pitches.
